You are prohibited from using an electronic device while driving or operating a motor vehicle on a highway unless you are using your electronic device in a hands-free manner. Many of our readers will use the speakers on their phone or use their earbuds in order to follow the law. BUT If you are using an earpiece headset to “hands-free” method of using an electronic device, the law is that it can only be worn in one ear otherwise you are in breach of the Use of Electronic Devices While Driving Regulation, BC Reg 308/209, and can be ticketed and fined for this act!
